Man Utd...Champions for a record 19th time.

United have an ageing squad as do Chelsea.

Liverpool will win everything next season. ;)

i think you will find the Man Utd team is not that old. Hernandez, Nani, Rooney, Valencia etc...
i know we do have some older players (and 2 prehistoric, giggs and scholes;))
but we have a younger team then chelsea

Well done to the whole team, can't wait for Wembly, :D

also well done to tombstone, very gracious :)

That will be the test and i wouldnt put money on their manager passing it.

The amount of Liverpool fans who, befor xmas, were saying "we need a complete rebuilding job from top to bottom even if it takes a couple of years" who are now talking about top 4 and winning leagues next season is unbelievable.

KD came into a situation where it would have been almost impossible not to improve things. Its amazing what you can do when the pressure is off and you are the returning hero. As you say the test will come next season.

To be fair, if Man City can reach the top 4 with some of the drivel they have been playing this season theres no reason to think that its not possible that we , with a few more quality signings in the summer, cant reach top 4 too. Winning the league isnt likely to happen next year , though I suppose given the way that the big teams dropped points all over the place this year, anythings possible. Realistically I suspect its a few years away yet.

Its equally as "unbelievable" just how many people are still knocking KD and coming up with excuses to belittle what he has achieved in the second half of the season. I'd love to see some of the gobbier (not aimed at the poster) people on here do it if its oh so straight forward, I swear at times I do consider writing to the FA and letting them know that they are looking in the wrong places for the next England manager and that there are a wealth of qualified people on the OCuk forums :D

I accept that 100%

I thought he was a joke appointment made to please the fans.

His record this season speaks for itself however.

I cant go back on my opinion of him as a manager based on half a season though, although i accept i was miles off in slating the appointment.

I think from a level playing field with a transfer kitty and normal expectation he will be found wanting. I think he was born to do the job he just did with Liverpool, brilliant over a short period.

Honestly, how many games into a new season will " we will play our next game and see how many points we have at the end of the season" be accepted as as an interview? It sounds great now when climbing the league is the only aim after a couple of defeats it will wear very thin.

Looking at the content of a surprising proportion of this thread, I look forward to 'gate-crashing' the next Merseyside 'this is our year' orgy.

And how magnanimous, posts composed mostly about how poor the league has been and then a tagline - "United, best of the worst!". But then this place would be boring if everyone were the bigger people, wouldn't it...

Its not that difficult to understand. We started the season with 3 terrible signings. Hernandez, Smalling and Bebe.

Who could have imagined that when called upon Smalling was the new Rio?

Who could have imagined that Hernandez would become the lethal finisher he became?

Who could have imagined that when called upon Bebe could look like a homeless guy waiting for a job interview about being a BBC cleaner in an Apple world?

Was nice to have no 19 confirmed but god it was a crap game and performance, hopefully we're saving our next big performance for Wembley....

I hope shamikebab was watching MOTD then, to refresh his memory of some of the things United have got away with he seems to have forgotten :p
