I see with android 2.2.2 that you can move apps to the sd card, what is the point of this?
As I see that the apps are a lot bigger when placed on the card, is this due to them being fuly expanded.
Also will installing onto s card make the phone run quicker due to more internal space available?
Sd card class 6

Some phones have a limited internal storage space so to carry on installing Apps you have the option to move them to the SD card.

Not sure why they are bigger.

Depends on a couple of things for this one. Yes you might have a class 6 card but Android unless rooted doesnt take full use of the SD card speeds.

Download SD Tools from the Market and report back with seems:

The internal space freed up is storage space only. Its separate from the RAM and, if it uses it, the cache on the ROM.
