Hi everybody,

So I am after opinions on what the best 24" screen that's under 200 notes is.

I am neither a gamer or a photo-shopper so both color and response are equal in terms of importance.

Kind regards

Liam

well I don't know much about monitors and I just thought that it would be the best for it's price :p but as I said I'm getting the LG 3d monitor as I think that it is the best monitor for my budget which is around about the same as yours

actually the monitor has more benefits than just 3d like 120hz so smoother images and there is no input lag whatsoever in a mode called thru mode

Personally I am keeping an eye out for reviews of this £200 ASUS which uses a MVA panel. I use a Dell monitor with a S-PVA panel at it is a really nice all-round monitor, I'm hoping this ASUS is able to pull off something similar.

If you want a nice gaming monitor then the LG KiiYzOo linked to is excellent. It is 3D capable - but to me this isn't the big feature - the main draw is the 120Hz refresh rate (for smoother movement in fast-paced games), excellent response times (so less visable ghosting) and zero input lag (using the thru mode).

As an all-round monitor that is £200 or less, then this one is a good model.

However, if you want the best all-round monitor for this price range then I would suggest going for the slightly smaller and more expensive Dell U2311H. This monitor uses a high quality E-IPS panel so it has excellent colour accuracy and wide viewing angles (so you don't get the colour shifting when you move your head slightly off-centre - which you get with TN panels) - while at the same time has a low response time and low input lag - so it is great for gaming and looks lovely while doing it. Here is an in-depth review.

Well I agree with the dell being the best option, however i would really like HDMI for use with a freeview box.
I like the look of the acer.

Whats the cheapest E-IPS 24" panel??

You could always just use an adapter like this, plus if you don't want to manually switch the cables then you could also go for a switch box like this as well.

I believe it's the 1920x1200 (16:10) HP ZR24W for ~£320.
