Virgin Media... Sigh..

Tell me about it, their customer service is woeful.

I can get fibre optic in my area and could get cable internet with BT but Virgin just refuse to recognise my line/area is capable of cable internet so I STILL can't get their Virgin TV package....meh.

Bt and virgin fiver optics are separate. Their cs isn't to bad, everyone will have problems at some point or the other, have found them much more helpful than sky were.

50mb helps though with their uk dedicated helpline.

i would as them for details about the area fault, how long its been going on and when they expect it to be resolved. if they can't provide you with any information i would make a complaint and use that as the reason for leaving.

I would also suggest you reference your neighbours.

i would remind them that they sent 2 engineers already because of an engineer fault.

out of interest what have the engineers said? did they ever look at changing your router?

Can i have the number for this please?

:( I've lost it, it was saved on my phone which I lost, I posted it several times and I thought it was in the big 50mb threat in networks but I can't find it in there.

Edit - found it

08000520431 ....

Every time there is a problem my end, I just mention that three letter word; 'Sky'.. they then get they're arse in gear.

Does seem like a crappy situation to be in though - hope it gets sorted ASAP.

Thanks - I'll give that a go!

@ Bandit,

The engineers were here 6 hours each, replaced absolutely everything, other than the cables to the house.

so the next logical step is to take your modem to the neighbours, with a laptop and check if it works.

if it does you have proven that the only difference is the connection between you and the road cable and therefore not an area fault.
