Usually use my phone for an alarm clock, however it ran out of power and when I charged it again tonight, it requires its PIN to turn back on and I drew a blank (its a replacement phone I got lately off a relative)! The time for its alarm is set later than usual since I like to sleep in, so I don't even think leaving it on with the 'Enter PIN' screen will help me here since I need to get up at 7.00 am at the very latest.

So after much head-scratching and scrounging at 1.00 am tonight (I don't have an alarm clock, damn you 'many-gadgets-in-one' reliance!), I've finally found out my *****y 30GB iPod with cracked screen has an alarm clock feature, but when I tested out its 'beep' function, it does it like twice and turns off again! What the hell...

I had to set it to play my playlist and I've set up my earphones to point near my bed. Dodgy at best.

Predictions or 'helpful' after-the-fact suggestions with a healthy dose of retrospect are welcome.

I have downloaded some dodgy clock software with an alarm feature and left my laptop turned on when I lost my phone and didn't have an alarm clock.

Probably a desktop widget for Vista/Win7 would be better.

Or just leave your curtains open, sunrise is before 7am?

how come you don't own a £10 casio watch? shame on you.

Set pc as an alarm D:?
Thought of that, but I don't think there's a way to get a PC to boot itself up at a pre-destined time that's within my ability and I don't think I could sleep with my laptop on during the night.

It's funny how quartz-powered digital watches are considered 'back to basics' now, how far we've come... :D

Good call on the curtains though, I'll do that to help me along.

I better retire now, but what are the odds I'll bat the headphones away during the night and sleep in until midday? Scary, whatever they are. :D

'Night, fellow lunar travellers.

There are websites that function as alarm clocks. I don't know specific addresses but I have used a few previously and they worked just fine.
