About 01.30 this morning I heard a noise outside, two sort of snapping noises. I went outside and saw that the locks off the gate and shed had been removed, the locks were no where to be seen.

For some reason I just had a feeling they would come back so I stayed up, I shut the dogs in the kitchen, hoping they would bark if anyone returned.

About 02.30 the dogs start to bark, I jump up, open the window and shout as loud as I could, I couldn't see anyone as it was too dark.

Next thing the figure of a man appears out of my garden running away. I grab the phone, call the police and within 3 minutes a patrol was at my house.

Now the padlocks that were removed had a small logo on them, brass padlocks with a red circle and a white cross. The officer then called for a dog unit as only minutes had passed since the burglary. Lucky a dog unit was nearby, they arrive and I show them the last place I saw the person, the route he took and his direction of travel.

About 20 minutes later, the dog unit was on the radio asking for another patrol to back him up. The dog had tracked the scent for about a mile and caught the lad armed with gloves, a bag and a crowbar.

The icing on the cake was the rather bizarre fact the the stupid sod had kept the padlocks in his bag and being so distinctive that really doesn't help him. He was also found just outside an area where he had been given a prior exclusion order, I suppose not everything can go you way!

As we speak he is in custody, arrested for burglary, going equipped and theft. As he gave his address as no fixed abode he will also be refused bail and I was told and will be up in front of the magistrate today at some point where he may be remanded if he can not give a satisfactory address to be bailed at!

Result!

When we got robbed when I was in my teens, it took the police around 40 minutes to turn up or do anything. OFC the guy had gotten away by then.

About 01.30 this morning I broke through this gate, made two sort of snapping noises. This guy came outside and saw that the locks off his gate and shed had been removed, I'd nicked them.

I had to come back to finish up, about 02.30, but these dogs start to bark, this guy jumps up, open the window and shout as loud as he could, I couldn't see anyone as it was too dark.

I legged it out of there, but the guy must have grabbed the phone, called the police and within 3 minutes a patrol was at his house.

About 20 minutes later, the dog unit was on the radio asking for another patrol to back him up. The dog had tracked the scent for about a mile and caught me, armed with gloves, a bag and a crowbar.

The real **** was the rather bizarre fact the the padlocks I nabbed, in my bag, were being so distinctive. I was also caught just outside an area where I had been given a prior exclusion order, I suppose not everything can go you way!

As I gave his address as no fixed abode I will also be refused bail and I was told and will be up in front of the magistrate today at some point where I may be remanded if he can not give a satisfactory address to be bailed at!

Bugger!

Hahha excellent work. Pwnd :p

What kind of sentance will he get? Any jail time?

jail is so expensive, he should be let off with a warning and a kicking... I'd administer the kicking for free...

would make a lot of money on pay-to-view as well..

Oh it's not over yet.
You just know the cps will give little jonny the benefit of the doubt, end up deciding there is insufficient evidence and then letting him off with a caution. ;)

It depends on his previous or if the judge believes his brief's worse that he is off the drugs for the umpteenth time. That is if the CPS authorise a charge and he is found guilty or pleads.

If he is charged and is NFA then a remand is the only option available as he becomes a real flight risk if not.
