You can tell buy the enemies k/d ratio all they did was camp.
 
I would not mind normal if it had the less health elements of Hardcore. Shooting someone 289182918219 times with an LMG to have them run off is FFFFFFFFFFFFFFU. As is using the bolt action sniper rifles.

Everyone tends to use the 'best' weapons in normal, seems to be a much nicer mix in Hardcore.
 
sorry it wont be going hc . most prefer it non hc.

hc basically is two types .

medic who just spams everything getting endless kills or a sniper who only needs to hit anywhere for kill too easy.

this is why most of us play normal mode.

lets not start debating hc over normal as its been done ten thousand times already in this thread :p

also the map with screen shot is a bad example it is " THE " map where most will snipe and camp . that ridge has always since release cause rage :D

That's simply not true. The class spread is just as varied in Normal and HC.

Also, I was not asking for it to go HC. I said it was a shame no arranged HC matches are played, which did not mean your server should have been used.

Good games last night, mumble was a pleasure as always.. thanks for posting a screenshot where I had a positive k/d ration.... it doesn't happen very often :rolleyes:

If LMGs were less accurate on full auto HC would be awesome, however, having used the MG36 in hardcore it clearly has biased hitboxes towards headshots. Main reasons I prefer normal mode as it has more of a BF2 feel rather than COD4.

takes 3-4 shots with an lmg in normal.

Maybe you should learn not to spray and miss 99% of your shots?
 
Hi, I just played this for the first time last night. I had loads of fun but didnt really get what was going on half the time!

Are there any decent sites you recommend to give me the basics?

p.s. I must have annoyed my team by thinking I could fly a helicopter... is there anywhere I could practice that safely??

I still haven't found anywhere to practice so I still suck after 6 month of playing :p I just never bother.

Best bet is just to play mate. I sucked bad this being the first multiplayer fps I had played properly. Due to this and the initial poor gear i was on a 0.48 k/d before I got any good. After time you'll get used to it just don't take 2 month to realise you actually have a knife from the start like I did :o
 
ha, i had to check the controls after someone knifed me! I didnt do as badly as I thought i would. The main problem was i was playing as a lone wolf, I could kill the odd guys but didnt know how to help the team. Didnt know how to kill tanks, helis etc. I was kind of playing it like COD, but I guess that isnt very productive...

It's difficult as a lot of people treat it like cod and/or just watch their k/d ratio. Try playing nm-ocuk server with us for some good squad play. Alternatively when not on nm I play on a server called timeless. Just search timeless it's a 32man rush server and always full. Gets a regular crowd and a lot of the time there is done good squadwork. If no one is doing it though dont be afraid to push on yourself to encourage it, sometimes that seems to galvanise everyone.
 
pft my tags are easy to get, i run at people with a bolt action rifle and only 5 shots.


I think I die more to knives than anything else >.<
