BF3 has showed up in my ea download manager,wish it was available to download.

Argh I hate that, ruins the game having some chopper pilot constantly going round in a circle, blowing every AA gun up before anyone can get in it, camping spawns too. They are the ones who generally have the smoke perk to disable tracer darts, even if you do manage to hit them once in 100 shots

Well what the hell am I supposed to do as a pilot then?
Hover stationary so you can easily kill me? Take another vehicle spec so I get blown up more?


I don't baserape with my choppers though.

I can never seem to hit the pilots with a sniper rifle :/

I always seem to get lucky and hit them in the face The chain gunners on the side are much easier to hit. Just gotta account for all the movement.

Always fun to hear people whine if you do it to them twice in a row

I understand why the chopper pilots do it, its a tactic and game mechanic that works, it doesn't stop it being annoying though. It seems to be more apparant on the console though as its harder to aim and get a tag on them, as mentioned by Tefal/Loowi_ashley on their PC exeperience. (I've not played this on PC as none of my mates have PC's capable of playing it) so I went to the 360 version.

eh? Oh i see, a PC "elitist", branding me as a console "noob" i should have guessed. Thankfully I don't limit myself to games on one platform, it generally leads to more enjoyment of different types of games.

Yes I do lead the target as best as possible using a pad. It doesn't always work though, and with only 4 darts as an engineer, you don't get many goes, after the first shot i've normally been killed by the chopper circling me.

Still months to go before the game is released and I feel like people are trying to pull it apart.

Not bothered if the game is going to be vastly different to a console version just that it is written well for the PC platform.

BF1942 was my first on-line game and I've played one or other of the BF games ever since (with COD and a few others) so I reserve the right to be a little excited

what he's saying is the consoles auto aim will make your shots go straight for the chopper if you're lead is pretty close which means they'll miss.

Guessing I hit a chopper with the dart 2/3 times, thats why FPS arent for consoles

I played on PS3 and found it easy to dart things. All about timing.

Response from someone who isn't a moron
"Damn tank" *spawns as Engineer with RPG/AT4 and MK2 explosives or Assault/Recon with C4 or Recon with Mortar if its too far away and proceeds to blow up the tank* (optional ending, "I need help with this tank, its getting repaired too fast" *3 more missiles join the fray and it goes bye bye"), possibly followed by "Better chuck some AT Mines down just incase".

And there was me thinking i was a genius, dam you ppl

Ha tried that a few times. Those uav's despite being a toy fly like a brick though! Anyone ever managed to hit a chooper with a uav missle? (that's off the ground )
