Sorry about the Monday morning moan!

My partner has been using my Z3 for the last couple of weeks while my daughter borrowed ( because she has young kids) my old VTS which my partner uses until my daughter found and gets her latest car which is waiting for her private plate/regs to be sorted, which should be by tomorrow.

As she had never driven the Z3, I took my partner out for a full hour to get used to the car before using it and warned her she had understeer problems and to be careful when taking left-handers, which prompted the usual "yeah yeah" response.

I've just been out to check out the oil, water and tyre pressures and low and behold, she's scuffed both the ****ing nearside rims.. I am NOT pleased and it would be fair to say, I was bouncing! :(

The scuffs aren't too deep but I really hate scuffed wheels and it's taken the paint off the leading edge of the alloys which will definitely require re-painting and while I know it's only paint, I'm still really pi**ed off to be honest and will have to get it sorted as it certainly spoils the look, particularly as they were mark-free until she drove the car!

So, after my moan, back to the job in hand:
Question:
Is it a specialist job to get them resprayed to bring them back to original or can most decent car sprayers do the job? If any of you have had it done successfully, how much does it usually cost?
Cheers!

My girlfriend scuffed one of my new alloys the other week, right down to the metal pretty much around the whole rim. I was not best pleased, however, she was very apologetic when it happened and as long as she pays for it to be fixed then it's not so bad.

Rather than sorting the wheels my first priority would be sort out why it has problems taking left handers.

"she had understeer problems" ? Do you mean the car, or what?

Nothing to do with the car in this instance ..I warned her she was going in too close to the nearside kerb when negotiating left-hand bends/curves or sharp left turns.

I even showed her how to approach left-handers properly so there was nowt' more I could have done...well I suppose I could have not let her drive the bu**er in the first place :)
