any news on z68 boards?

What is the warranty with these boards? I saw a link to the Asrock site (for all components generally) which said 1 year unless otherwise stated - and nothing specific has been quoted on the OcUK page (I'm too lazy to look elsewhere).

2 years in Europe for all the boards minus the Fatal1ty offerings which have got 3 years.

RMA centre is in the Netherlands too like MSI.

Tomshardware has just given out of 3 boards (Asus Z68V Pro, Gigabyte Z68-UD3H and Asrock Z68 Extreme4) the recommended badge.

do we know it's 2 years? where does it say that? i've read other places its 1 year other than b3 p67/h67 which is 2 years.

I do want on eof these boards, but the warranty is just sooo short, i might still go for it, if it is indeed 2 years.

answer from overclockers i think they mean 2 years in total.

These motherboards come with the 1 year warranty with ourselves and 2 years with the manufacturer.

Just an observation, the 2 years are both through the retailer as AsRock don't deal with RMAs directly.

I confirmed this with the retailer I bought the board from.

After having bought the Asrock Z68 Extreme4 and been very pleased about it I wouldn't wait. The Extreme4 is definately a very strong contender! :)

Likewise ^^ - mine arrived the other day, and the i2500K yesterday......Windows is installed and that is about it so far, but liking what I see in layout terms, great spec and features and overall mighty impressed :)

I guess proof will be in the OCing later, mind....... :D

Yeah it better be ScottiB! Or I'm holding you personally accountable! :D

What do you predict the price will be roughly as well? In or around the £150 mark?

I've seen the Z68-ED55 go for £131 here and £109 elsewhere and the Z68-GD80 for for £175 in both places. Whereas the P67-GD80 is £194 here and the P67-GD65 £118 here and £132 elsewhere. So with all these crazy prices differences I don't know what to predict. The Z68-GD80 is cheaper than the P67-GD80 at OcUK, so maybe the Z68-GD65 could or should be around the same price as the P67-GD65?

The £109 Z68-ED55 prices are for pre-orders and so likely to jump up once the board comes in stock. The OcUK appear to be the only UK retailer that has had some of these boards and, judging by the fact that they are not decreasing the price, the most likely one to get some more ahead of everyone else.

any end user confirm Asus P8Z68-V PRO is a decent board to get / no problems ?

I bought my Asus P8Z68 v Pro on the day of release and I am very pleased with it. I have the 2600K plus an H70 and using the built in overclocking utilities, it went to 4.4ghz at the course setting, and 4.7ghz on the refined. Manually I took it up to 4.8ghz with no problems, but as it is new I have just left it at 4.2ghz and the Vcore sits at 1.26 on full load and 0.96 ticking over.
I did need to update the bios to 401 which is supposed to be the release bios, but mine was 221, and I was getting a few funny readings on the asus suite 2, but all OK now. I have not tried resume from sleep as I currently am not using the manual voltage control because it runs super cool when doing mundane stuff, which is what I like. 4.2ghz is enough for me.
