Things to do on holiday Bulgaria?

Rakiya! Watch out for the street urchins and people trying to flog you the local currency! Lots of stuff to see in the Varna - cathedral etc. if you like your history - lots of Roman archaeology about in the surrounding area as well.

Take a trip by local bus to Nessebar just up the road from Sunny Beach...very attractive!
I would avoid the jeep safaris organised by some of the tour companies... we went on one and it was absolutely sh***! Plenty of water related sports.

We enjoyed our 2 week stay there 2 years ago - we don't have kids but there was plenty to do for families at the hotel at which we stayed - the temperatures are just right too!

At a guess I would say random nonsense Weather should just be right in September - can get a tad warm in July and August!

I dont really know why but I would really like to go to sofia at some point soon, before it becomes more developed.

I have some friends that ran businesses in Bulgaria which was very dangerous to say the least.

Go look at some old castles. Between the turks, The byzantines and the Romans, there should be plenty of archiological remains to visit.

I went there 5 years ago, when 18-30's first formally released it as one of their destinations (iirc).

Things to do;

- Get smashed each and every night with the lads
- Sunbathe/Shop during the day, or recover from your hangover
- Meet European, and even Russian women D)

Things to look out for;

- Muggings - my cousin was walking back on his own from a club one evening and got mugged by a woman and 3 men. He says the woman approached him, then the 3 dudes jumped him, pinned him down, all whilst the woman stole his jewelry/phone/wallet
- Promiscious birds from up north and scotland

Yes I stayed in Nessebar for a month a longtime ago. Much nicer than actual Slanchev Briag but probably different now.
