The next console Metal Gear game, Metal Gear Solid Rising, will bridge the gap between Metal Gear Solid 2 and MGS 4, the game's developers revealed at E3 this week. Plus, we'll finally find out how Raiden became cool.
Both seemed proud to be working on a Raiden game and explain this character's back-story. The adventure will bridge MGS2 and MGS4. (If you are wondering why they didn't mention MGS3, that's because that game takes place before MGS2 and 4). Rising will explain Raiden's drastic character transformation from solider to cybernetically-enhanced swordsman.

Will this really get past the censors? Being able to slow down time and then chop up enemies any way you want seems a little...borderline.
Can you cut off heads? the top of the skull? Chop up dead bodies?
Thats pretty damn extreme.
No surprise that this game will bridge the gap between Metal Gear solid 2 and 4. And with what we know from MGS4, I guess we'll get to see into more detail about Jack's depression, the whole Rosemary and Campbell thing, and anything else which led to him to transform into the cyborg character.
John, or Little John, is the son of Raiden and Rosemary. While his exact birthday is unknown, Rose was pregnant with him during the Big Shell Incident. Rose told Raiden that she was pregnant after admitting to him that she was acting as his girlfriend in order to keep track of him for the Patriots, before she really fell in love with him. His existance was threatened nearing the end of the incident, when The Patriots, via JD, contacted Raiden and told him to kill Solidus or else Olga's child and Rosemary will die by their hand.
Rosemary gave birth to John sometime after the Big Shell Incident. However, Rose told Raiden that she had suffered a miscarriage in order to protect John from the Patriots. Rose and Roy Campbell had devised a plan that would involve the two breaking ties to Raiden and faking a marriage between themselves.
Shortly after, Raiden, disenchanted with his life, began a long downward spiral of alcoholism and self-abuse. Raiden would eventually stop coming home to Rose altogether, deciding to live his life as Snake once had, drifting around the globe before ending up in Alaska.
Rose and Campbell were explained in MGS4

It is similar to red eye mode in Red Dead Redemption, but I guess with the palava about Knife crime these days you never know.Well ima be slapped for this but ive only played MGS4 out of them all and finished that and enjoyed it muchly so if Rising is anything like that then its win!
Your way off, this is a proper metal gear game and keeps the stealth as it should. It was announced during the presser it had stealth elements still so it's hardly god of war like, it's just a metal gear with a sword rather than a gun.Short Answer yes they did
As for rising, the game doesn't do any thing for me, it kinda reminds me of the god of war type beat em up, except you can cut up water melons

Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be released in November of next year, according to a leaked report.
Official Xbox Magazine claims to have picked up Gamestop documents, which says that the game will hit the shelves on November 2 in North America.
If correct, the game will be released a year after 3DS title Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, which is expected to launch this November.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising features the return of Raiden as a playable character and will place a greater emphasis on action elements, such as sword-based melee fighting.
The upcoming game will be the first in the series to be released on Microsoft's Xbox 360 and will also be released on the PS3 and PC.
Series director Hideo Kojima is also expected to make an announcement at this year's E3 event regarding two additional games in the series.
