Asus Rampage 2 Extreme

hi
I am thinking of upgrading my current system and have been offered one of these relatively cheap. I have a Thermaltake armor case, Seasonic 900w PSU and 2 x gtx 460s in SLI, and I intend on building it around these bits.

Any advice would be appreciated

Advice like what?

It's a Socket 1366 board so you'll need a socket 1366 processor and triple chanel RAM.

It doesn't have USB 3.0 or SATA 3.

I assume you're going to have to buy a processor and RAM so why not get a Sandybridge setup?

So if the Rampage 2 EXtreme is around £90 it's costing the same as a superior Sandybridge setup.

The one I was looking at was described as, 'As new', and comes with 12gb of patriot ram. Fair price- what do ya think?

I wouldn't know.

You haven't said how much it is and even if you did we can't do price checks outside of the Members Market.
