(PS3) Mortal Kombat SE Tournament

Looks like this can finally start!??

Just refresh yourselves with the rules and if possible try and record games where possible. Please post the results in here and can the other player also confirm them. GL all. :)

I think we should very seriously consider postponing this until the patch comes out before the end of May, online is AWFUL right now. This isn't a cry for help either I'm 15 wins 1 loss online right now I'm having plenty of success but it just seems like every game is in slow motion the lag is so bad, Boon said a patch would be coming along with DLC before May is done so I really think we should wait.

Another thing this is for Jonty and everybody who doesn't know (props to Deathjumps for bringing this to my attention) is if you want a fight online don't even bother selecting ranked match or player match, it just searches forever and never finds anything. If you want a fight, join a room and somebody will likely challenge you or you can challenge anybody else in the room. You can of course accept,decline or ignore any challenge that comes your way.

Let me know your thoughts.
 
You need to be pretty quick I know when somebody challenges you cause they go and get another game if you don't respond straight away, that's what I've been doing only got that session not available message once.
 
I don't think I've read one positive comment yet about online play for this game. Some people would moan about online for SSF4 but this seems like something else altogether! :p Although PSN appears to be back up and running, I agree with you Drunzer so this is on hold until they release an online patch/fix which we will estimate to be end of May/early June. :)
 
Cheers Adz, I think it's for the best with the way things are. I played SFIV online and my worst online experience with that seemed to be the norm for MK right now, it's awful. As for the update Boon said on the PDP tournament live stream over the weekend that it should be out before May passes but I'll keep you all posted if I see or hear different.

Yea I agree, I have played quite a few matches online and the lag is absolutely dreadful, waiting until the patch comes out is the best option. I’m looking forward to this tournament as much as everyone else but it would spoil the fun factor. Good call Drunzer............oh and for any of you who have not played online, be prepared for hundreds of fights with Scorpion, Smoke and Ermac, they seem to be the most popular I have seen, Scorpion being the biggest pain in the butt..... I mean constant :mad:
 
This all sounds fair enough, as until the market comes back up I only have the 48hr online trial anyway. That should still be enough time for me to get my backside kicked ;)
 
I agree the lag is just awful, I still managed to have some fun in King of the hill though, managed to learn some stuff while watching other people ^_^.
