£1000 gaming pc with monitor

Well don't I feel like an idiot now - I don't even know what 'noise on the voltages' means...:o

Off to google I go :D

noise on the voltage is fluctuations from the intended voltage. with a lot of noise it would look like a seismograph (sp?) during an earthquake, but with very little noise it would be relatively smooth

as far as i know, as long as its within 5% of the intended value, and its reasonably smooth, everything is fine

Ok so my budget has been increased to 1200 (lovely grandparents :)) , I've got already got a heatsink so that takes a little off and I've got an 800w psu in my current pc so was thinking I shouldn't need to upgrade that, posting on phone so can't tell make of psu again any spec greatly appreciated!

Ok the psu is an atrix 800t and heatsink is freezer pro rev 2 if that helps cheers guys

You are going to need a higher quality PSU, cheap ones never put out the wattage stated on the labels, and thats a awful lot of money to trust to such an item.

If the freezer pro rev 2 has a intel socket 1156 mount? then it can be used, but either way the Retail CPU comes with a heatsink anyway.
