Transfer Black Ops progress to another Steam account?

My Steam account has been hijacked, and Steam aren't in a great hurry to give it back to me.

Can I copy a profile folder or something if I create a new Steam account? Or is it not possible.

I realise I will have to buy the game again, that I'm not fussed about, but I'd like to keep my SP and MP progress.

The game is tired to your account I believe, so no you cannot transfer it.

Sorry to hear, but if you have not got Steam Guard activated and clicked on a silly link, you only have yourself to blame.

True, but the last time I signed into Steam was probably before Christmas.

Never played the game but don't you need to sign in to play with Activision (?) account? I'd guess all yor MP progress would be kept on their server and not steam and don't see a reason why save games for SP can't be copied to different folder.

I've no idea. I just used to log on with Steam and go from there.

how many times a year does your account get hijacked ?

didnt you have a account with a mw2 ban aswell :confused:

think you posted that in july . you said that account had been hijacked aswell or is it same ?

if steam lifted that one which they basically dont then must be another account :confused:

you are either very unlucky or the other

Which is partly true. The fact that having to buy something twice due to your own misfortune is complete BS, but I will fully back Black Ops being a solid game to play.

Whilst you can't switch games between accounts you can switch saves. Though I can't guide you off the top of my head how to do it again, search google/youtube for tutorials how to do it, helped me once move my sp/mp saves to a friends pc (with a different steam account to my own)

No idea how mine was done, Steam say I was the victim of phising, however I'm pretty careful with everything and barely used my Steam account when it happened so not quite sure how. I never follow links from emails, only copy and paste, and then inspect the URL for anything dodgy, and then I never enter in any details if asked etc.

A lot of my games were banned when the account was hijacked, not just MW2, but BFBC2 and some others. I have been fighting with Steam to give me them back (or unban if you wish) over the past few months however I'm getting nowhere so I'm resigned to making a new one and starting over. :mad:

I stupidly associated my Black Ops account with the Steam account that was hijacked and have made some good progress that I'd rather not lose, but looks like I have to start from scratch again.

And yes I realise I can switch logins to play BO, but I don't want to faf about with that, I'd ideally like it all from one account how it used to be.

I guess I hoped that Valve would give me my games back, I had quite a few games in there and switching accounts was something I wanted to avoid.
