Films you really like but other just think are average...

Moon.

I just don't get it. I really like it, but most of my mates think it's an average film with an average soundtrack

Donnie Darko, Independence Day, Watchmen, Mr. Nobody.

I must have poor taste.

LA Takedown: Kinda like a prototype for Heat, judged on merit I still think it holds up as a good film
The Believer: Simply because it has the one of the most outstanding acting performances I've ever seen, I was a bit shocked Ryan Gosling never really hit the big time as I had very high hopes after that.

Batman Forever - everyone slates it, but I thought it was enjoyable and Kilmer was pretty good as Batman.

Spider-Man 3 - thought it was actually better than the first movie. Second movie is best though.

Gremlins 2 - prefer to the first one, no idea why.

Alien 3 - really like it despite all its flaws, but everyone else thinks it's terrible.

I actually prefer Alien 3 to Aliens.

- Ridley Scott created an utterly terrifying, highly intelligent villain.
- James Cameron then made them stupid and plentiful, removing any sense of fear or peril from the equation. He also gave his protagonists too much power - you knew any one of the characters in his film could take on an alien one-on-one and beat it. If anything, Aliens shares more with Alien vs Predator than it does the original Alien.
- David Fincher went back to the original formula of a single, intelligent Alien that was truly formidable and chilling, in a more claustrophobic environment, and while it's obviously not a patch on the original film, it's certainly truer to the Alien universe than the second. And because what I want from an Alien film is eerie horror more than Bill Paxton one-liners and big explosions, it's the one I prefer.

Not to say Aliens isn't a good popcorn film. It's just not what I want from the series.

I don't care what anyone says - Harry Potter and Twilight are good.

There was so much wrong with it i don't know where to begin, however, they did luck out by having Jim Carrey as the riddler, he was perfect for the part and to this day i can't think of anyone better to play The Riddler

I really liked the fantastic four movies.

But marvel decided they bombed so bad and were saw by so little people, that they could cast Chris Evans as another marvel character (Captain America) barely 4 years later because nobody would notice.

I did. He's the human torch, not captain america :(

The Lethal Weapon series and A Ghost in the Darkness featuring Michael Douglas as a cheesy old hunter, not great but I watch it if it's on.

Maybe controversial but I enjoyed Waterworld and The Postman (shame)

Good shout with Waterworld

Yes, it's a 90's ACTION flick, but I've always really liked it

-edit, just read on IMDB, that they spent $175,000,000 making it ! To put that in perspective, Jurassic Park was $63,000,000 and they're about the same age
