Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

i prefer cod4, mw2 but those games were spoilt with quickscoping and boosters,and the unbalance killstreaks.I play black ops at the minute, not because i love it,just because there is nothing else.I would go back to mw2 but i would just complain about quick scopers and all that other rubbish.I just hope this time we get a beta,and they think more about balancing the killstreaks and they must not have nuke or any other mega camp killstreak,we also need night time maps,and i am talking pitch black night vision maps for some giggles

I've always said the same about the series.

COD4 awesome, good maps good gun balance, now ruined by QS ****s. The first sniper patch was the worst thing they ever did to Cod4.

WAW loved Zombies and Maps, awful gun balance upto the point I gave up.

MW2 Awful gun balance, spec ops was awesome, awesome maps, retarded killstreaks, infinity ward too slow to fix anything.

Blops, decent'ish gun balance, like the lag balancing although I understand this differs person to person, love the core gameplay but the maps bored the bits off me. I liked the killstreaks better and that they don't stack.

MW3 seriously does anyone see this being fixed or taking the best issues from all of the above and supporting it with the timeframe they have had since IW ran away. I'd be happy going back to COD4 if they hadn't just upped and left a game that is hideously ruined.

yeah just run that by me and we are sweet man. so from loving them to now picking faults? No im not a fanboy by any means, wasnt a massive fan of black ops as i have already said. Just feel its always cod threads that get lost because of people wanting to hate on the game for no reason other than its popularity really. Its like when a band gets big and gets accused of selling out
 
Might be OK if they get rid of OMA, Commando and overpowered killstreaks. It needs a good amount of guns to choose from and some classic maps and then i'll be interested.
 
The games are different, just play around the issues.

I never understand the MW2 hate for killstreaks, everyone could shoot them down and I had more kills from them than being killed by them.

I think the comment about wanting to hate the game because it is a valid.

End of the day, I pay £30 for a game and I get more than enough enjoyment out of it. I certainly don't think I can do a better job of making a game so I can't really criticise.
 
I'll buy COD but that doesn't mean I will ONLY play COD lol :p It's always nice to have a bit of Call of Duty to compliment the other titles :) The problem is when other games try to be COD and fail.

Agree 100%

No idea why people go to such lengths to hate on Cod but I gather it's the cool thing to do, there are always loads of Cod hate posts in the big threads and also Cod hate posts in the BF thread but never the otherway around???!!!???

Yep, this is the point im trying to make. Its only cod that gets this treatment. I hate a few games. Do i go on those threads? no as Id rather discuss games i actually like.
 
for me it wasnt the killstreaks,that spoilt the game in mw2,because they were easy enough to shoot down,it was the way people played the game just to try get a chopper gunner or whatever.when playing in a group it wasnt bad but with randoms your urinating into the wind

Utter rubbish, just about every game thread has people commenting on things in a game they don't like.

Gears, Halo, Graw, Bioshock, Rainbow 6, Crysis and on and on. That's the point of a game forum. People discussing what in a game they like and don't.

To say that only COD gets that treatment is frankly laughable. Even in the Blops thread you have regular players who spend half the time telling everyone the game is crap and how much better MW2 was.

You said he contradicted himself so he explained how he felt about each release, pretty simple really.

People seem to be failing to realise the point of a discussion forum again.

To be honest, I agree with Danny, COD4 was a great game but it just went downhill from there, Black Op's certainly bought back the fun factor and Treyarch were very good at fixing problems with the game but the maps just lacked that certain something.

However, if a decent group of people pick this up then I'll probably get it, or at least rent it, as its the social side of the game that I prefer to the actual gameplay itself :D

So what is exactly wrong with One Man Army? I see people cry about this perk far too much, the only problem with it is that it resupplies tubes, but thats easy enough for them to change. It cancels out your secondary weapon and leaves you vulnerable for 3 or 4 seconds everytime you change class, so how is it exactly over powered?

Killstreaks also aren't over powered either, the problem is that nobody shoots them down.

And Commando doesn't need removing, it just needs to replace the Tactical Knife so instead of the huge lunge you get a faster melee instead.
 
MW2 3rd person was great tonight what an awesome game we managed in one match to get 4 chopper gunners 6+ harriers 3 EMP's and 2 of us got nukes not to mention all the predators must have been at least 7-8 of them oh and an AC130 coupled with 2 pavelows.

Oh and we won the game and had 80 kills + each one guy on the enemy team went 4-96.

Gotta love MW2 ;) :p

I think MP in this game could be quite good to be honest.
From what I've read Raven are doing the MP bit and they've done decent MP before.
Really all they need is the core MW2 gameplay mixed with the Black Ops balancing(killstreaks not counting towards killstreaks,no stopping power,no commando,no launcher re-supplies,making QS hard) and I think it'll be great fun.
