My ST220 is fine... the seats are... kinda :-/

The seat is definately all the way up too, right? In my car the up/down adjustment also results in forwards/backwards movement of a good few inches. Plus the clutch pedal shouldn't need to go anywhere near the floor anyway.

My Girlfriend is 5'2", she has no issues whatsoever driving my Mondeo but she does have to increase the seat height almost fully to the top and pull it forward, but not all the way forward.

Replace the ST220 with any fast automatic of your choice.

Failing that I think she's making up stories. My mum is 5' 1" and has driven virtually everything without issue (we have different cars in the household literally weekly).

Surely if you move the seat any further forward she'll be driving with her boobs :)

On a serious note, my wifes not much taller but when my her car was away for repairs we had some Korean hatchback as a loan. My wife immediately started complaining that she couldn't reach the pedals and that I should get the hire company to change the car. I just got out shut the passenger door and went indoors, a few minutes later she had somehow managed to sort it all out and took the car for a good 15 minute drive. Why did she do this, cause she had to go to work the next day and she knew that whining about it wouldn't resolve anything.

I've seat-failed.

Never thought that raising the height of the seat would give a few more inches of forward travel. I have my seat set right down at the bottom and the car came like that so I've never had reason to move it.

Yesterday, it was sorted.

When I get home I may even post a pic of her at Liverpool Cricket Club looking very pleased with herself sat in the driving seat now she can fit.

Are there other directions of seat movement on the ST220? On my ghia x, the electric seat mover has so many wierd directions that tilt and move the seat giving more or less room.

ED: Too slow :(

Have you got the 8 way all-electric seats? I've never compared side by side, but I have thought before that these don't go as far forward as the manual seats when I've put the seats right forward to fit something in the back. Dropping the front edge of the seat may also help.

Swapping the seat rails for manual ones shouldn't be a mammoth task.

Surprising somebody of 5'0 has managed to drive my ST220 just fine. I would have thought the range of movements would be the same be it electric or manual chair. Although saying that the bolsters are a bit bigger and could only go so far forward compared to the dire standard things.

Sometimes electric seats don't go as low as the motors are underneath and so get in the way of downwards travel.
