Given the choice you would live ?

Washington DC - cold in winter, hot in the summer and nicely located to see the best of the East Coast.

Sweden, or America (Not entirely sure where in America but I've always wanted to live there, probably on the West coast somewhere) or on a little island like one of the Channel Islands or Isle of Scilly.

Wouldn't say no to staying where I am now either really.

Build a custom house on the side of a mountain in Italy.

Beautiful country, beautiful language.

Im sort of but not quite seeing this half Italian girl at the moment, and when she talks Italian I just can't stop listening, such amazing cadence :)

Same as last time this thread came up, where doesn't really matter, it's the things I want. But basically America or Canada

English speaking
Cheap land
Relax building regulations
Either dessert/arid dunes or forest/lake/rivers, motocross style bike for green laning.

I just crave for a much different work/home life balance. Which just isn't obtainable in the uk, even in cheap Scotland I still don't feel I could achieve. I would like to be pretty much self sufficient, want to build own house and building, but not with such tight regs and I want to do some kayaking or green laning, ok you can do that in certain parts of uk,but not the other stuff.

The channel islands are great in the summer but a bit like a mini britain in the winter. Plus houses and alcohol are expensive. although it is nice never being more than 10 minutes from a beach.

I would like to move to America, not sure where yet. not sure if i want to live somewhere hot or cold all the time or a mix of both.

I'd love to live in New York, probably my favourite place in the world. It's got such amazing energy and a million different places I'd be happy hanging out at. Every time I go, I can picture myself living there very easily.

Personally, I'm very happy in West London and have no intention in moving away unless an excellent opportunity comes up.

Out of interest, I'd like to know if people have actually been to the places they're mentioning - not sure if you'd really prefer some of the places if you went there yourself :)

A small village or country house somewhere like The Cotswolds or The Lake District.

Basically amongst as few people as humanly possible! :)
