hotmail hacked

So, after 12 years of having the same hotmail account it has been hacked today. My password was changed so I couldnt get in and all my contact have been sent a message asking for $3000 to help my sister in Spain

I've spend the last 2 hours changing email addresses on ebay, amazon, paypal and about 5 other sites.

The first thing I did was login to https://windowslivehelp.com and enter the pin that I sent to my new email address. I have just got a reply and got back into my hotmail accoutn and changed the password

Email forwarding was turned on and set to forward all mail to robion.fred at Live.com

Anyone care to do some investigating into this address. Sign them up for as much junk as you please!

Surprised you using the same email address for everything
good idea to use different email address for different sites

if email gets hacked then basically can’t access rest of your other sites like paypal and the other sites you posted up

Gmail sucks, I cant get a new password, as apparently I don't know enough about myself to satisfy their security questions.
