I don't know what happened to this forum but it has gone way downhill from when I first joined. Ignore the join date my account was lost in a server error in 2005 and I re-registered.
I remember not that many years ago posting a thread asking for help to build my step daughter a PC that she so desperately wanted for Christmas but I could not afford and the outpouring of generosity was overwhelming.
All of those people paid out of their pocket to help me out, OcUK themselves even gave us the motherboard, and between them they ended up giving my daughter one hell of a PC.
Now all I see when people ask for help is mocking and belittling weather it is going to cost people or not.

You're asking people to text some dodgy number and pay a quid for the benefit. For all we know that number will send us text after text that cost us more money or our numbers will get sold on to some dodgy company who will keep calling us.

Maybe, but i wouldn't come on here to lie.
If it was heartfelt and i said "oh i can't afford to take my family on holiday" people would just probably say work more hours or manager your money better etc etc.
All i'm gonna say is if people do vote thanks, if you don't want to then don't but all of you commenting is bumping the thread for me which is nice.
