Thinking of selling my trusty galaxy s it's been great still in perfect condition but just want something different.

Where is the best place to sell it and how much should it be worth all boxed etc etc.

eBay but last time I sold a phone on there I got a million nigerians buying :rolleyes:

does this still happen?

Gumtree never used it anyone have experience ?

Av forums but I don't have a account and highly unlikely something will part with money with a forum newbie or can link this trust or eBay forum to av forums ?

If anyone could help that would be great

I sell all my phones on ebay without issue. I usually make decent postings including all I know about the model, scratches if any, accessories and then at the bottom I always put the following:

- Only ship to UK, will be via special delivery assuming you pay on time (please pay instantly on winning).
- I Only send to verified paypal addresses, no exceptions.
- Less than 10 feedback - bid deleted unless you contact me first (have made people hand over phone info before, i'm cruel).
- No I won't put a buy it now for X less
- No, I'm not going to fall for your awful paypal scam / western union offer / "i'm overseas" rubbish.
- Failure to pay within 2 days - relisted.

Edit: for phones where the OS/branding is important I always debrand and advertise as such.I always unlock too, costs a few quid which you'll always make back. (you have a SGS so you can get that done for free at least).

It's an auction, whatever you min price it for - it won't sell for that. Look at the finished auction list if you're worried.

I was thinking for gmtree or av forums obviously eBay goes for what it goes for.

New ones go for £250 on the bay, somehow cheaper on auctions.

Make of that what you will, I wouldn't expect pocketing more than £180 for it.

Fonebank will give you £178 for it without the hassle of auctioning it

I've used Fonebank, sent my phone special delivery on the Monday and got the cheque on the Wednesday, great service

Just had a look what constitutes a crack on the body? Mine has the smallest chip on the elf hand side.

Just bit worried they will class it as a non working phone and give me £80!

Do seem to be reliable according to the web mind .....

From what I remember, as long as the phone turned on it was fine, could be wrong though.
