OFF or on another channel for example watching a show whilst the xbox is on? I need to grind some money on forza 3 and was hoping I could use driver hire on the endurance tracks and just let it go whilst the tv is being used by the family to watch their programmes? It's a full led tv. Won't cause screenburn or anything else for that matter?

Yep should be fine.

EDIT

Just read the part about screen burn hehehehe wont/cant do that if the image is not on the screen so that would be impossible.

How will it burn the screen if switched off/on a tv channel?

Anyway, kinda defeats the point in playing the game IMO if you hire a driver. I agree things do get a bit time consuming at the end though. I haven't played it for a few months, but I'm only a few calendar months away from finishing season 6 :(

Can someone confirm this :): I believe if it's connected by HDMI changing the channel will cause it to loose the HDCP link and will drop you at the dashboard. Similar effect to having the xbox on and unplugging the video cable

Mines connected by HDMI and doesn't drop out. However I have heard that some people's do drop out?

yeah, I know it was definitely something that was happening to some people but no idea if it's still happening? Maybe the newer TV's are a bit more clever and don't drop the link?

It was causing it to happen if you were using a DIY HDMI/Sound cable combo. If you're using a normal HDMI cable or the official one then you'll be fine.

It's people using the optical cable hack without having a clue what they're doing.

A simple cut of a single wire solves the issue completely when using the hack.

Thanks for clearing that up guys :)
