mobo overvolting ram

just noticed my mobo is running my ram at 1.65v but the ram is rated for 1.5v , checked in the bios and i cannot lower it . will it damage it if run at these volts for long periods gaming , below is the ram i have got

What motherboard?

And are you using latest bios for the board.

it is the Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P with the latest bios

they had not got a clue why this is lol , but the latest bios is still beta and no sign of them updating it either

. i do not think they will release anything for this mobo since it is last gen , time to get that asus mobo i think , am looking at the one below . what they like ?

My gigabyte board's the same, not a problem as mine's 1.65v, but I used to run it undervolted at 1.35v on my old board. Not sure why they did that to be honest.

Using the XMP settings? If so turn it off and set it all manually.

i do not think this mobo has XMP settings , thats on intel boards is it not ?

The XMP profile is on most motherboards. In the gigabyte bios the profile 1 is the XMP profile.

my mobo does not have profiles in the bios from what i can see
