Hi guys, don't know why I called it a 'challenge,' just sounded cooler than the standard 'Spec me a gaming rig for £500.' :P

Anyway, as the title suggests I'm thinking of building a rig for a budget if £500 (give or take £50). This does not include a monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse. JUST the components and a case. I'd like the best 'bang for my buck.' Obviously I understand that I'm not going to get an insane system but I want the best I can get for £500. I plan on starting the build in mid-June (after exams...YAY!).

Any form of help would be greatly appreciated. And if I choose your build you'll have a great sense of self-fulfilment knowing you helped a guy out, and after all isn't that what REALLY counts? :P

Thanks.

Why not throw the OCZ Tech 4GB ram in there instead of the Corsair? Save your self a tenner or so that being said, that is an outstanding build for £500.

That maybe the best option that stulid chose. If you don't want to go over your limit maybe try a different graphics card.

Ah Stulid, I've read about you :P

Are there any other opinions out there?

Thanks for the really quick reply dude.

Nope, thats it really.

And dont go looking for a cheaper card, its not worth the drop in performance, a 5770 is only around £10-20 less, and the performance difference is worth the extra spend.
