this may be a total oversight.....
but did anyone get this from a supermarket (or anywhere) and there's a maroon coloured plastic bit stopping the case from opening and the disc coming out the case ??

Yes, i know what you mean there. Had that when I was playing. I think this is a tutorial in some respects to help you understand the interviewing process...how to use the evidence you have, at the right time and to backup questions and accusations you make. It isn't easy!

Had this before when i bought a dvd, had to pretty much smash the case to get it open. This was from ASda.
 
Got my copy from game at lunch, WTF is with the badge pursuit challenge and the film strips?

I assume these are locations I have to visit, but do I then search for badges there or are they locations for cases?

Such a great film... I might go and treat myself to a new PS3 game. Quite liked the concept of this when I first heard about the game many months ago...

Don't mind slow moving or cut scene intense games sometimes... I enjoyed Red Dead by rock*, I also enjoyed Heavy Rain so might give this a bit of a punt...

Concerned about the overheating PS3 issue. I've got an older phat Ps3 so better not die on me...

For me, it's because they tend to be very uncompetitive on price, you have to deal with sales staff trying to get you to buy second hand instead (in Game at least), and you have to wait until release day.

Oh, and it's 2011, so most of my shopping is done online:)
 
Looking at some vids on youtube, Rockstar have raised the bar and then rewritten the rules, this will be a genre defining game just for its technology alone.
 
Well I'm enjoying the gameplay so far, keep on seem to get 1 question wrong when interrorgating people though. ¬_¬
The framerate is really inconsistent though when outside. (Xbox installed to HDD)
 
Badge Pursuit is just a collecting game - ie find all the badges scattered around the city.

Also - you do realise you can turn auto-aim off right?
 
holy shoot, i had new 120gb ps3 slim arrived at my workplace today for the 3rd replacement of what used to be the original 60gb fat model (even tho i losing 2 usbs and card reader etc, i am loving ps3 slim, quiet, quick and the lights are looking nice) cant believe i got the game a day early from hmv pre-order then not being able to play!

well i popped home at lunch break and only just got past the first part of first case... omg i didnt want to go back to work. the game feels amazing, i feel i am gonna enjoy it. driving is a little twitchy but nothing too bad.

cant wait to get back to it later!
 
Arrived this morning from Amazon!

Awesome game so far, don't understand the complaints re; driving.

Loving it, even if finding some people hard to read, the animations on the faces is just outstanding.

Tried earlier to download the ps3 bonus content but psn store was down , is it still down, ive been away for the last week so dont know whats going on with psn?
