People not Giving me Credit...

Childish.

I do admit I'm annoyed when I show something novel to person X, and he shows person Y (in my presence) without crediting me.

But like I said, childish.
 
It sounds like your friends can't remember these situations where you introduced them to cool things because they can't remember you. You're insignificant to them. Find other friends.

Ok first of all why do you care, unless you were the first person to find the band or create the movie/game there will always be someone who knows about it before you.

Secondly why didnt you stop them in there tracks mid convo and say "dont you remember me showing you that band/movie/crap game" to which most normal people would have said "oh yeah it was you ta for that."

If they dont remember you saying anything to them it speaks volumes

A friend on steam, I showed him a metal band called Tyr on youtube, months later he tells me about this great band he found out about called Tyr. No mention that I showed him first.

A friend on facebook, I showed him a band called Clutch, now he says he's a huge clutch fan. Wont say that I told him about them.

I'm really at the end of my tether now. I've decided that I'm no longer going to tell anyone about bands, games, movies because they wont give me any credit.
