I think (I may be wrong though) you'll find the new tax rate for CARS does not apply to TRUCKS.

£260 for 12 months on my Porsche, not bad considering I was paying the same (ish) on a Vauxhall astra last year

I think you'll find it will be £1200 per year for the forseeable (unless it increases ofc)

I have seen £1800 road tax on some of the vehicles one of the customer's was running in my old job, (tri axle unit with tandem axle trailers, 40,000kg)

Girlfriends C1 is free. Rightfully so, I wouldn't pay to drive that little box!

A tax based on absolute rubbish. It should be a yearly mileage check and you pay depending on which mileage bracket you fall into.

Use the road network more, pay more. Sounds fair to me.

I taxed a Y Reg Golf GTI Turbo for 6 months that cost £130,then just had a renewal for a X reg Audi S3 for £115 work that one out.
