****Official L.A Noire thread****

Just bought this for £37 at Tesco. Was weird. I went straight into my Tesco and this other guy went in at the same time as me and we both went straight for the game. Both got the PS3 version and both agreed that disc swapping was gay. Nice guy.

can only echo the majority..its a different game to GTA so don't expect that

its much slower paced and the whole gameplay of questioning makes a real change to other game types

I have no cause for complaint on the graphics front..even on the 360, to my eyes it looks really nice, they have captured the whole atmosphere perfectly.

they need a slap the suspect option though! I would have bounced Frank Morgans head off the table!

So when's he taking you out to dinner?

I got mine last night (midnight) but didn't really have time to play it :( :p £34.97 from Asda.

Anyway, time to crack on now!

I don't understand what your are saying here.

You mean there is no police brutality option?

:(

You can't beat people down with your baton just for fun? What about good cop bad cop? Any of that? or is it just sit down at table, look through journal. I could see that getting kinda dull.

I wanna play an alcoholic on the edge cop. Like Harvey Keitel in Bad Lieutenant

Played about an hour so far and I'll admit thus far it's not as good as I thought it would be :(

So far I'd put GTAIV and RDR ahead of this

An hour? Dude! You're probably still in the tutorial! Early days but fair enough. I wouldn't even compare it to those two games though, other than it's by the same dev/team/whatever.

Yeah is very much an initial reaction, the comparison is fair though imo they're all very much the same game but with a different setting and a few different features here and there (not that I have a problem with that as I loved GTAIV and RDR)

I think I'm still in the tutorial, walking the street guy gunned down outside shoe shop, and am loving it.

One thing though. This motion capture and the faces. Looks bloody weird, somewhat surreal :D

That's the first and last time I preorder from play.

I learnt that a long time ago, pre ordered a game once about 3 mnths in advance, didnt come 2 weeks until after release.

As for LA Noire. I think its a brilliant game. Nothing like GTA so dont expect it to be. Much slower paced. The interrogation is fun but I would like an option to rough the suspect up. Never played a game quite like it before, very refreshing.
