Free Sega Games from Dixons!

Hope their service improves, not exactly something that makes one want to start buying games from them. Been download The Club since the morning. Should have been done under an hour :(

And the fact that it has failed my password twice, even with a new one via email... The password is the same why i was using last night. I quit because i wasn't going to download the games overnight!

So i might aswell download the pirate edition seeing as i've got the pack free anyway thanks to this :(

Can you stop the download and restart, ive been downloading alpha protocol for 6 hours but its slowed to 125kbit, I dont want my connection crippled for the rest of the night only to have to leave my pc on anyway overnight.

It says you can't but it stores the files in the temp folder, so if you restart it later, it'll check there first and if you still have the files it'll start from where it left off. At least mine did ;)

I'm currently getting 5mb/s on a 20mb connection, been downloading total war since 1pm, only 70% done, the connection is shocking, but as its free I doubt I cant complain too much

I don't exist according to 192 and neither does my wife so cant get past the age check. Registration process was shocking. Only really wanted Alpha Protocol out of that list so just gave up.

Took me 13 hrs to download Medieval Wars 2 yesterday on a 50mb connection  Free I know but damn if i'd paid anything for it i'd be fuming!

Word of warning folks there is clearly some kind of P2P shenanigans going on with this Dixons downloader thing. I left it downloading Condemned (3.7GB) today, came back to PC and found it had used over 6GB of my allowance (over 2GB uploaded).

Not an issue for most I am sure but for those who have limted peak usage allowance on uploads as well as downloads, something to be wary of.

Started download last night, fell asleep, went to work, came home, still 'uploading' at 100KB/s even though the download had finished hours before.. guess I've been seeding the pack I downloaded to other people in the meantime.

Also means if that rate has been constant (and looks like it was) then I've been uploading about 9GB worth... I'm not opposed to this, but it certainly should have been more clearly disclosed I think and have the options exposed so we can put caps on it before our ISP does a nerdrage on us.
