Age of Conan - all inactive accounts reactivated

They can keep it inactive, frankly. It was a joke when it came out, and while they might have fixed some of those MASSIVE UNACCEPTABLE flaws, they don't deserve the privilege of me playing on their servers. :3

I'd forgotten how pretty it is, for a three year old game it looks astounding. DX10 is rubbish though, has no visible effect and just drops your fps by 20 :p

Music is great too. Quite a few people running around tortage, but that's probably just people like me back on the freebie.

You SURE that happened, that is the absolute first I have heard of it, I have heard no similar info from anywhere and if it had I can imagine there would have been uproar from a lot of people.

Just checked my email:

Here are just some of the some reasons why you should return to Age of Conan now:

Sent to me 11/01/10. Not a chance in hell I'll ever play this again.

played it till 40 on release, got my mount. quit.
Hated my choice of class and couldnt be arsed soloing again.

Its still a good game tbh, most of the performance issues have been dealt with, although you still need a good machine to run it at max.

Its a great PVE and from 1-80 you can pretty much solo, hit 80 and all there is to do is 6 man group dungeons or raid.

After 3 years of playing it i am just bored of it. But there is plenty there for a new player.

Heh i only just let my subscription lapse after playing since release. The game really did mature and the expansion added some of the best group dungeons and raiding experiences I have had in any MMO.

The top tier raiding became boring however as it was insanely hard (impossible) to prevent guilds progressing too fast and to allow them to finish encounters.

I guess I will give them another week or so and then im on a break until things start progressing again.

I gave it a go after the nearly 8 gig download. Its definatally a great game but it wont be fun learing how to play it all over again. Was fun the first and second time running through the game but it all 'been there, done that' for me now.

So it is just worthless characters below level 20 that you won't have spent more than a couple of hours on, I mean REALLY? Is it in worth posting on a forum let alone getting so upset about.

Anyway, I returned to the game, I'm pretty impressed actually, it has improved a lot, shame it's still broken fundamentally and I still won't be buying another Funcom game because of the way they decieved us right up until launch about the game.

I had a couple of hours on this earlier, picked up my old lvl 60 HoX and really enjoyed it. Still a few bugs (mount becomes invisible when I zone), but not nothing serious at all. Gorgeous game, and is still something a little different. I think I'll dabble with it for a week or so, but not sure if it will encourage me to resub as I don't really want to get sucked into an MMO at the moment.

Considering I tried all the classes and only got two above lvl 20 and had 6 characters in total, yes it does. To me anyway.

There was this one bug where if your character used a special ability it changed your hairstyle (to bold) and you had to re-log to get your hair back. I'm just trying to think of the programming error you would have to create to get such a bug...

I played this when it first came out - I played it for about 2-3 weeks before quitting. I was in the guild who had the world's first 80, Knights Of Shadow. I loved this game so much, I had the highest PvP kills (back when it meant nothing) and was getting 200 + PKs a day just leveling. I got the whole server after the guild I was in and was asked to stop PKing certain guilds ( which were about 70% of my PKs ) so I quit the game. Shame as I really did love that game.
