why does it take 30 police to disarm 1 man.

Couldn't they have called armed police or tazered him or shot him with rubber bullets ?

If you haven't noticed, not all officers carry Taser or firearms. Therefore, until they arrive, officers need to contain the situation and that is exactly what they are doing. Often, unarmed specialist public order officers are best trained to disarmed people with knives of that size.

What exactly is shocking about that exactly? Other that the guys conduct and the fact hes running about with a machete? Its a practiced technique, the guy is obviously mental and needed contained. You go try disarming him safely with a couple of guys.

Ok seen the whole thing, well done to the police officers though I'm sure their time is spent better on laybys with a speed gun.

And how sad is that - a whole house of women next door and they do NOT know them? My god gents, whip it out at 2:00am, bang on the door and start rogering away!

Risk losing a trained police dog over that mad piece of ****? The officers were containing the man until appropriately trained officers arrived. The only shocking thing is that the man thought that situation was leading anywhere but hefty legal proceedings.

You need officers to both contain the offender and keep the general public away. You can't do that with one man and his dog. Either way, it's better to have more officers than you need than not enough.

I don't think that will often happen out on the street. In a building it's rather different, but there are many other options in a situations such as this.
