Attention motorists who care about their vehicles!

The sections have been sorted and are in the correct catagory now :)

On a side note..

Some very good kit here and certainly work a look to keep your pride and joy cars a little safer at night!

Next step for me.. find a pride and joy car :D

This thread cursed me!

Because our driveway is dug down about a foot and is full of skips, diggers, water pipe & electricity cable, we're having to park all ours on the road... and this morning a cyclist clipped my car :(. Fortunately the person came to the door to own up :), and it's only broken the rear lamp.

Coincidence is coincidence!

Interesting.

Any plans to stock in-car / cab cameras?

I'm thinking along the lines of something to prevent those people who deliberately brake hard in front of you to try & get an insurance payout.....

;) You are in luck. Specially for you guys and working closely with Gibbo we are bringing a range of cameras specially for use for in car. This will include bullet cams which range up to 720p and then a 1080p Extreme edition.

We tested this the other day which DOES include an in-car suction cup mount. Video was great but audio could have been better but for the money its still a great buy.

Excellent. Cheers valkia, I think I'll be getting one of these - and will let the lads at work know about them, £59.99 is a cracking price.

Do you have any video of the quality?

I can upload some footage we do have, I must warn that the sound isn't too clear on the move thats the only downside to this product but for video its pretty decent and for £59.99 is a great price. It has date & timestamp.
It also comes with a free 2GB micro SD card which can capture up to 90 mins of footage at 24fps. Battery is a lithium ion which charges via usb.

You should have a look at the ContourGPS. It has a built-in GPS receiver that tracks your location and speed, records 1080p video with 135° coverage and can store 8 hours video with a 32GB Micro SD card. Expensive but brilliant!

The ski instructors on a course I went on last winter used an earlier version of this as helmet cameras and it was far and away the most useful instruction I have ever had - they are absolutely absolutely BRILLIANT!

Is there some kind of car park deterrent from Zafira man and his family?

Came back to the car today and my wing mirror was knocked out of place. Again!

Find some technology which stops car park imbeciles and I'll hand over my hard earned cash.

Im sure I saw such a version of bullet cam which enabled recorded on motion detecting. This might be the closest bet. I'll take a look into it.

Hi there, this sounds fantastic. Thanks for the recommendation, i'll most certainly look to stock this or similar item as the GPS feature makes it pretty unique.

Hi there

I've had a go with one of the MDV-450 cameras, video quality is more than good enough, but sound if muffled once moving as they are designed more for video than sound, but its easy to use and small so something that is usable.

Valkia is looking into other options that also have good mics for good sound quality recording.

Sorry for the bump, but has anyone bought and tried out the Swann MDV-450? Just like a few more opinions and test footage before I finally decide.
