Looks like LA Noire WANTS to be on PC

But Heavy Rain is an exceptional game, it did win 3 BAFTA awards after all.

Not played this yet but plan on playing over the weekend. If its even half as good as Heavy Rain I will be pleased.

Yes and everything that wins awards is automatically good? Videogame awards (and film for that matter) are complete rubbish.

Heavy rain was a £40 "interactive" dvd, only it had the plot and voice acting of a channel five movie. Pretty graphics though for the easily distracted

@RDR: Yeah, it's been out exactly a year and still no word of a PC port. I probably would've waited even more and just grab it on offer, but otherwise don't much care.

and for the consoles as well. The tech they are using is just simply too old these days.We need xbox 720 (or whatever it is going to be) and PS4 and fast.

Games will just suffer otherwise.

I'm honestly not sure what the power of the machine has to do with the quality of the game unless the primary reason you play games is to look at pretty pictures. Its extremely difficult to say that the "old" tech that powers games like Uncharted 2, Batman AA, God of War 3, GT5, Forza, etc etc is limiting the fun of the games when quite clearly it isn't.

If a developer can't make a game that you find fun on a PS3 or 360 why on earth would the automatic assumption be a very Clarkson esq "MOAR POWER!!!!!". More power at their disposal means longer development times as they try to use that power, higher development costs and most importantly LESS risks being taken with innovative and interesting ideas for fear of them flopping and not recouping the larger dev and advertising budget EG Mirrors Edge.

Great games are still available on both HD consoles and I have no doubt that great games will continue to be released on this old tech for another 2-3 years. To suggest that the quality of the hardware is the reason behind poor games is utter claptrap.

Gutted when I found out this wasn't coming out on the PC. I would buy a console but I just love keyboard + mouse as input.

Way to completely miss the point.

There are loads of great games on the current crop of consoles, but you would be happy if they just kept using the same hardware for the next 20 years...? There is only so much you can do with what the PS3 and 360 have got in them. Eventually everything will have been done and then what??

I am assuming, by your ridiculous post, that you would be quite happy if we were still pushing the technical boundaries of the NES :o

Please then explain further how I missed your point?

Was your point, or was it not, that the tech is too old and that we need replacements fast otherwise the games will suffer? Did I somehow manage to utterly misread those exact words?

Of course I dont want to still be seeing these consoles as the current gen in 10 years and of course we shouldnt be pushing the NES still. To suggest that I suggested that is frankly absurd.

MY point, which you did seem to manage to miss, is that the consoles are still producing great games, and more power doesn't equal better games as much as it means more expensive games and less risk taken in bringing new innovative IPs to market.

Just buy a console?

Don't get this argument all the time, some games on a console work perfectly fine and are probably more suited to just sitting back in ya chair/sofa and playing away.

The cost of an xbox 360 is hardly expensive and you get the best of both worlds.

Don't give me that rubbish about how it runs either, for this type of game it is more than playable and enjoyable.

People get so hung up on graphics all the time they seem to forget that there is actually more to a game than just how it looks, consoles can play games in an okay fashion and with decent picture quality.

Yeah listen to the consoles Rockstar and bring this to PC quick so we can show console gamers how to run a game properly.

Why don't you head over to the L.A Noire thread and tell the console gamers this. Chances are they're too busy playing the game to care what you say, so maybe you should just get over it and stop being so bitter.

Indeed, I really can't see the point in limiting yourself to one platform, I've been a PC gamer AND a console gamer for years, I really don't understand this mentality of "one or the other". You end up missing out on loads of brilliant games because your too stubborn and elitist to diversify onto other platforms

ahh yeah, thats true. pity too as RDR is a great game

Its good but not quite great for me due to the controls being so damn awkward at certain stages of the game. Prime example is trying to ride a coach whilst shooting bandits which pulls your camera angle away from where you can see the road. The auto aim when it comes to gunfights also urks me abit when it comes to RDR and I wish it was on the PC due to it running smoother, proper aiming with free camera movement as well.

I've got it on PS3 btw, so not just coming out with an opinion based on no substance :P (although its still just my opinion).

I'd love to see LA noire on the PC but can't see it happening just because RDR never made it :(

Exactly what i thought when i read the ops "bring this to PC quick so we can show console gamers how to run a game properly." some people do crack me up.

Exactly what I've been saying for years. For some reason the PC elitists/purists seem to think that you'd be dirtying yourself by doing that though.

Just let them get on with it and enjoy all the superb games that they refuse to play out of sillyness. ;)
