Why is the cinema an irritating experience these days?

Anytime I go to see a filum there is a little talking during the ad's but that's about it.

Never once had any problems during a good filum.

This is why i never got to the cinema anymore, i like to purchase the film and watch it in the comfort of my own home.

Its annoying for some movies how few showings are for the 2D versions of films.

Meh, when we go we buy normal seat tickets at Vue and just sit in the VIP seats and never have a problem. The trick is to appear as if you're looking for the VIP seat rows and then point at them while walking up and talk a bit louder than normal saying "there they are..." etc while looking at your ticket :p

I went to the cinema with my girlfriend today to see PotC 4. There was a girl sitting to my left and who I assumed was her boyfriend to her left. Near enough throughout the entirety of the film, they were both sniggering on and off. Pretty much every other line that was said they would snigger. I realise PotC isn't a franchise that takes itself too seriously, but it's not exactly a comedy. I even felt like saying to my girlfriend--though loud enough for the couple on my left to hear--that I didn't realise PotC was such a comedy.

I once saw a guy get kicked out for shouting. He turned up along with 2 girls just as the lights were going down. Throughout all the adverts and trailers he was shouting out things like "Give us some sweets!" through to telling one of the girls with him to perform a sexual act on him. I think most of the other people thought he was just showing off and would settle down once the film started..... he didn't. Roughly 5 minutes into the film a guy sat behind me got up and walked out. A cinema employee then walked in carrying a video camera. He walked right down to the front and homed the camera on the shouting guy. This brought about more shouting of things like "He's got a camera!" etc. The employee then walked out and then returned shortly afterwards with 2 other people, one of which was wearing a suit so presumably was the manager. They then escorted him out, which led to a round of applause from a few other people. One of the girls who came in with him followed them out, returned a few minutes later and said to that other girl that they have to go and mentioned something about the police.

It's a mixed bag, sometimes you get imbeciles sometimes you don't.

The cinema was silent during Insidious, which was surprising! Never had that sort of luck.

Avoid certain times.

Also; Wittertainment's code of conduct

Edit, picture for people who are lazy.

This should be cinema law.

First wednesday, friday and saturday viewings of the film should be avoided at all cost. For a start, there are very few reviews, the film could be a trainwreck. Secondly, brand new film, it's got hype, everyone will want to see it at the weekend, hence fri and sat. and c, wednesday is bogof from orange.

One of the reasons it is an irritating experiance is because it costs so damn much. If the cost was reduced you wouldn't be worrying about stuff so much as you only paid a few quid. I saw one place trying to charge £10 for certain seats that looked no better than any of the others. You pay that much, you expect a good service so you end up spending more time getting fed up about defects than you do watching the film, it's a downward spiral of turd is the outcome.

I still call rubbish tbh.

Based on what exactly? Is it because you wouldn't believe people would take action based on what you would, or wouldn't do, as it seems when the opportunity rises?

Just because many may just sit there and let others ruin your experience doesn't mean you shouldn't stand up for yourself. Sometimes you've just got to take the bull by the horns instead of shrinking into the background like the majority of the cinema goers would do.
