How old do you think is too old to be living with your parents?

I'm 19 and living at home, looking to move out within the next 12 months.

Will probably be renting, but I just feel I have to move out as I feel like an adult now (Started my career, drive etc etc) so feel like it's the next logical step in life :)

Plus, although I could, brining babes back to parents house isn't nearly as cool as bringing them back to a boss house!

I moved out when I was 18, I'm 21 now and sadly have to move back in but not for long, looking for my own place.

The thing that ****es me off the most is I get told off when I bring women in the house.

Haha! I would never, ever bring a girl into my parents' house. It wasn't cool when it was just me and my sister, no change now the folks are back. Either it's her place, a cheap room in a premier inn or a tenner slipped to the bog warden to keep the room clear for 10mins :p

My parents are quite cool with this, as long as I don't make too much noise :p

Not that I really do it often, been with the now ex-gf for 2.5 years till last month so......

When you bring girls back? In the cinema thread you were saying you have a girlfriend? So which is it?

22, Just finished 3 years of college, now I've got to look for an apprenteship and get a car. My parents like me living at home so I don't see any reason to move.

I wouldn't want a flat so I'll just have to see what happens.

I think 27 would be my limit.

Moved out when I was 20. Me and the missus saved and got ourselves a nice 3 bed detached with a garage last year (Now 24). I still have friends that live at home and seeing them with nice cars etc sometimes makes me feel a little jealous but knowing I will be mortgage free by the time im 40 makes up for it.

Personally i think anything over 25 is getting a bit sad, I have a superb relationship with my parents but would never move back, I bought my first house when i was 21 and now im 32.

A mate of mine is 35 and still lives with his parents which i find very odd indeed.

uni halls at 18, private rent from 21, bought a three bed in a nice area at 23
100+ miles away from my family is a little too much though, i would always have wanted to move away but i wish we'd 'settled' closer to them

i honestly dont think it is possible to be an adult (and form adult relationships) without leaving mummy and daddys nest! so as soon as you're ready!

Living at home right now (I'm 23). But starting my first proper job soon so will likely move out sometime this year. No rent is good right now though. :p

Well, Im 29 and Ive been living abroad for the last 2 years. I recently came back to the UK and have moved back in with my mum. Im going to be buying a place very soon, but for the time being Ive got no problems with it because its not permanent and I really like living here.

I'm 22. I moved out a year ago, love it. But at the minute I'm renting, unless I somehow manage to land an extremely well paying job I can see me moving back in for a year or so to save for a deposit.

I think I'll really struggle.

18, by then it's time to man up and make your own way in the world.

Not so easy when, because of the house prices in your area, you'd end up spending 50% of your pay packet on rent. Then there's food and other every day expenses on top of that.

"Man up" and be stony broke with no prospect of saving any money? Not always such a good choice tbh.

I'm 30 and have been living with Mum since coming back from uni.
