Howdy all,

I am looking for an action/rpg game that is co-op for me and my mate to play. We used to play WoW together but we both got bored really. He likes to control the character with WASD (no clickies) and see an over the shoulder/behind view.

An issue is though, he is running an old system. He has an x2 4200+, 1.5Gb DDR and a 256mb 7800GT. He has no intention of upgrading his computer, for the rarity it gets used, so any older titles out there that fit the bill? I think he would have enjoyed Fable III, but it isnt going to be very playable on his PC methinks.

So yea... ideas?

I am not sure that he will enjoy being that close to the DnD rules. WoW masks rules pretty well, I will run this past him though.

Titan Quest is a good crack, runs perfectly on my laptop (Core 2 duo 2ghz, 4gb ram & 8600GT)

Played this with him and after a while we got bored. Just didnt have that edge to it really.

I would suggest DS2 but he doesnt like clicky games, I think thats why TQ made him annoyed lol.

I tried him on minecraft and he didnt see the point. He just didnt click with it. Other non-RPG/action games we play are AoE1, AoE2 and AoM, Generals and FarCry.

Terraria has a more obvious set of goals to it. If either of you every enjoyed SNES rpgs/platformers it'll also strike a note in terms of retroness too.

Unfortunately there aren't really enough co-op games that fit this style =/ (Annoying because me and my housemate have been looking for one!) Maybe the original Guild Wars? Otherwise, I know Two-Worlds has multiplayer, but no idea how good it is =P

Nwn2 was quite fun I found. Myself and my wow arena partner often play it when we get bored of arena.
Diablo 2 is also fun ;p

We were looking at Two-Worlds on GoG for a good price, but the reviews were mixed. Anyone played it?
