My New Car (Porsche Boxster S 987)

Time for a new sig? ;)

I've just built a new PC and lost my CS5 disc so can't make one, if anyone is bored and wants to just scale down one of Howard's photos into a sig for me that would be great. Otherwise i'll have to wait till I'm on a site that has a copy I can use.

Very nice, quite a departure from your Fiat! Well done for saving the cash as well, very commendable :) hope you get much enjoyment from it!

How about this for the meantime? :D

Looks nice but the fact that it does not have nav would be a deal breaker for me

That's one of the biggest problems with Porsches, the buyers are really picky over the smallest of things, especially options and miles. Personally I wouldn't have bought one with 59k on the clock as Porsche owners seem to think that anything over 20k is old and worthless, you really limit your market by having a car that has actually been driven. Sad but true.

Mine was absolutely pristine, and I mean it was better than when it rolled out of the factory however that meant nothing because as soon as a potential buyers found out it didn't have sat nav they weren't interested. It was by far the hardest car I've ever had to sell

Peerzy is 21?

How can you afford that, nicely done.

Can't imagine myself being able to afford one in 3 years time, let alone a fiesta.

I am 21. Simply I've worked very hard and always taken on extra work where possible.

You maybe right, I'm not very experience in this high end of the market. I'm delighted I can drive round in a 4 year old Boxster S now and don't think I've done the wrong thing.

They did say it had just had the 60k service and they have serviced it but I've had a proper look through the service book now and they've not done the specific 60k/4years things which are drive belt and spark plugs.

Email them today and it's booked in FOC for 2 weeks today with a courtesy car. Can't really complain about that for service.

Not to rain on the parade totally but £23k sounds like quite a lot for a 59k miler Boxster S without PCM. That said the 2 year Porsche warranty is good to have.

Lmao, I thought he was genuinely being sarcastic about satnav! Why would you want satnav in a sports car?

Mileage is everything on a high value car. I'm certainly not one to be a freak for low mileage but in the £20,000+ car market you are going to take a massive bath depreciation wise on higher mileage cars.
