Hi guys,
I've been pondering creating a new system for a little while and after changing my mind multiple times I came up with something like this:
Intel Core i7 2600K
2GB XFX HD 6950
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz
Asus Sabertooth P67 Rev3, Intel P67
750W Corsair Enthusiast 750TXV2UK TX V2 Series
500GB Samsung HD502HJ Spinpoint F3
I'll be using the i7 mainly for gaming but down the line I'll be doing a lot of video editing/encoding and don't mind paying out more for quicker encoding times.
Now the only thing stopping me right now is the upcoming Bulldozers from AMD. I'm a bit out of the loop with current hardware at the moment and want to know the general consensus on the Bulldozer. Is it worth waiting for, is it going to outperform the i7, wait for later revisions or should I just go with what I have in mind.
I appreciate any suggestions or help as I know you guys get hundreds of threads like this a week.
