MW3 DETAILS LEAKED (possible spoilers within)

Just like James J predicted:

"uurrghh, ANOTHER CoD game..." :D

Personally, I got bored after the first MW. I never even completed the SP of MW2, and I haven't even bought BO. They're all just regurgitated repetition.
 
Im surprised that people can really be arsed with CoD anymore. To think where it is now to how it started off is just depressing.
 
Can't say i'm expecting much of this after the Activision/Infinity Ward 'night of the long knives'. It would be like expecting Queen to be a good band without Freddie or Brian.
 
I hope they deliver, as COD4 was amazing.

Everything since has been awful steps back imo.

I used to swear by COD, now im a newly converted BF supporter.

If they dont deliver an absolute golden genration COD, then BF3 is going to continue Dice's and EA slow march forward, and Activision slow slip backwards.

I thought last BLOPS was supposed to be make or break time but they sold millions of copies so in a business sense it was a success. I didn't buy it though as I thought it would just be reskinned MW2. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed MW2 for a while, then BC2 came out and I completely switched allegiance.

+1, however I hardly believe that Activision and the COD market will deteriorate, they will ALWAYS be a success despite the negative comments, its just BF will gain a larger share and I doubt it would impact on the COD series much.
 
Apply for that loan, sell some shares, buy a lottery ticket, remortage your house, take back that expensive article of clothing you didn't really need.

November 8th seems to be the release date
Retailers that we spoke with confirm that they are now officially accepting pre-orders for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 which has a scheduled release date of November 8th.

According to those in the retail trenches, they are starting by accepting pre-orders for the standard edition of the game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. These friends, however, whisper to us with a wink and a nod that they expect at least one special edition version of the game to be part of the release plan, if not two special edition versions, according to what they are hearing from distribution sources.

All that is really left is for Activision to officially confirm the November 8th release date and announce the special edition version(s) of the game beyond the standard edition. It is pretty much a foregone conclusion at this point that once Activision confirms November 8th as their release date, Electronic Arts will then announce the release date for Battlefield 3, which is something a lot of people are looking forward to.

Keep telling yourself that, you'll be waiting in line to buy them every year regardless of how bad they were.

So what are they going to do for the 'special editions' i wonder. A £100+ version with some dodgy night vision goggles worth £5 perhaps?
 
Not buying any CoD game anymore.

Thanks but no thanks after to what happened after BO release, simply they will just lie to us again just to maximise sales, it's just the way it is nowadays.
 
Does it not speak volumes that they are taking preorders and yet there are no solid details of MP or gameplay, for example? I mean, the publisher must be confident that gamers will happily depart with their hard earned cash completely blind.
 
Pretty much expecting this game to be a failure due to 2 main reasons firstly It's being co-developed by 3 different companies (IW and sledgeghammer co-developing singleplayer while raven software do the MP) because infinity ward basically only exists in name now because of the mass exodus to respawn entertainment.

Secondly Battlefield 3 is due for a release at or just before the usual CoD november release date and if the current gameplay videos for BF3 show anything it's that the game is the most graphically advanced FPS there has ever been.

Sad thing is cod will most likely outsell BF by a large margin simply due to the fact its a call of duty game. That goes for consoles anyway, id say on pc BF will be the bigger hit.
 
Everything that looks awesome is a cut-scene... doesn't show an ounce of actual gameplay but then there isn't any point, it'll be identical to the last ones.
 
Looks a bit pants and outdated looking at that teaser trailer or whatever you want to call it. I'll make a proper judgement when some proper in game footage comes.

I'm guessing it'll just be the same thing with new maps and guns.

Doesn't it take considerably longer than the time since the IW 'disaster' to actually create a new engine? Not to mention quite an investment.

Didn't think MW3 was using a new engine, just a slightly updated one since the last game.

DICE have been developing Frostbite 2 for years ready for BF3
