You have usb debugging ticked, I have 'install unknown applications' as well usually althought I'm not sure if it makes a difference.

Tis ok, Done it now. I just hadn't installed the drivers, even though I thought I had!!

EDIT: So what's best, CM Rom or the one posted a few up from here?

I have tried 3 different ROMs in the last week or so

[Cyanogen6.1.3]gingerbread[v01] - Fully Working Camera: Worked ok at first, but it became unstable for me after a while. Widgets would disappear and I couldn't resolve a battery drain issue. 720p video I couldn't get to work either (but a poster on here and others could)

TripnMIUI Iris I think it was called? Very smooth, but the look of it is iphone like. I had a few issues (i.e applying a new theme seemed to stop the phone from booting), camera was ok but no flash.

[ROM] [21-05] Xperia TW 007 soon + Testversion [CM6] [Tweaked+Theme+Extras] This one works fine for me, only had a restart when playing around with the display options (but it hasn't happened since). Very smooth and I like the look of it. The only issue I have is the slight iffy battery life and installing the TW 007 update. 2 posters have mentioned how good the battery life is, so I must have messed up the install somehow. Camera works fine, but flash seems to only be available using Vignette. If I can resolve the battery life I'll probably keep this ROM until the official 2.3 one is released.

I've tried a few ROMs and the one in the link above seems the most stable with camera + flash working. I have only unplugged it from the mains this morning and after 4hrs I'm on 65%. This is after say 45 minutes of music, no more than 10-15 minutes internet on a H connection and nothing set to sync. This doesn't seem to compare well with either Davola/Si Lad's battery usage.
Any help would be much appreciated as this seems like a great ROM until the official 2.3 is out. Thanks.

Have you just put the ROM on all in one go , I.E installed the ROM and then installed the update. If yes.... You need to allow your phone about 3-6 hours to cache all the new files, this will wipe your battery out fast. Then charge again. Let it go to 70%, full charge. Let it go down to 50% then full charge. These instructions were on the the XDA thread and I found them to be very handy. Try that mate.

I don't have the exact instructions on hand, but I did the usual factory reset, cache partition, dalvik etc. Installed the ROM then the updates (think there were 6 or 7 in total, wifi+bt patches, updates, baseband....) but I'm not sure when to apply the TW 007 update?
I installed the ROM and all the updates without TW007, the only time I tried it afterwards it broke my wi-fi.

I am currently running the phone without TW007, do you think this could drain my battery more than usual? If I install TW007 now I'm worried it will break my wi-fi connection again. I'll give your battery charge instructions a go as well. Thanks.

It was the TW update that has improved my battery life.
I installed no wifi and bt patches as mine have always worked.
No Baseband either, im on 54bb and again it works fine.

It installed perfectly on my handset but I had a right nightmare putting it on my GF's handset. :(

These ROM's are a bit temperamental though, not that I don't appreciate what the devs on XDA do but niggly problems are expected. At least I know TW007 has improved your battery life, I just need to figure out how to get it on mine without breaking my wi-fi. If you can remember the order you installed the zips in xrecovery that would be much appreciated, not to worry if not. Thanks for your help.

The instructions in the thread have changed since I put it on mine sorry.
I installed it ages ago and kept updating it as updates became available. I just backed it up when installing a different rom and then recovered it when I changed back to it. I just keep adding the updates as they become available.
I always make a new back up before I install an update in case anything goes wrong then I can put it back easily.
Good luck with it mate.

Just installed the TW update and my phone does not seem to charge any more :(

Either that or the reading is displaying incorrectly.

The only thing that is eating my battery is voice calls really. Everything else has surprised me on how little it has being using.
Just had a 9 minute call and my battery went from fully charged down to 89%. I unplugged it from the charger to take the call so I know it was full. Weird.

I got the TW007 update/fix to work with my wi-fi but the battery is still just as bad. Might try baseband .54 (which I think is what you are using?) and see if it makes a difference. If not I'll have to go back to stock 2.1, shame as this ROM had more of less everything I needed.

I had that problem on TripnMiui rom, put it on charge one night and it just refused to charge, i did not know till i woke up, had to reflash another rom after much messing around.

When you say your battery is still just as bad.... How exactly do you use it?

I mean, do you use it for lots of music, games, browsing and calls because they will obviously drain the *$%" out of it.

For example, from fully charged to 61% in 1-2 hours from playing Angry Birds and listening to music.

But on the other hand, from 100% to 49% in 1 day 10 hours with no gaming or music but the same amount of calls and browsing.

I am on baseband .54 by the way.

EDIT: Also, are you using the launcher that comes with the ROM or using another launcher "on top" of it (i.e. launcherpro, adwlauncher)? Because this is known to cause battery drainage too.
