Ian Tomlinson unlawfully killed by Pc

Awesome news maybe the rest of them will think before the act as though they are the law like judge dredd

when your getting mugged and the police are scared to help you incase they hurt someone you can blame yourself and the idiots backing the officer going to jail then

he was walking slow on purpose, a blind man can see that

it was very unlucky that he died and maybe the officer should have walked him rather than pushing him but look at the crouds of people the police need to use force to get action and not pussy foot around

rubbish

other police who where actually there have even said otherwise , its been through disciplinary proceedings , through courts , years of witness statements and reports. but i guess you still know better

anyway... even IF he was walking slow on purpose is that against the law ? and if its against the law does it give the police reason to be violent towards him ? wouldn't of exactly been hard to arrest him peacefully. i certainly would be in no rush if someone told me i had to take a long detour to wherever i was going.

ahah awesome so police should be above the law then. Some awesome nonsense there when even the other police and tribunals and courts think its out of order. But wait you must be right :D

his actions unlawfully caused or contributed to the death of someone, just because he wears a uniform does not mean he should go unpunished

I hope he is made an example of

Didnt the cop leave the force due to a road rage incident then joined again when the heat had died down and on the same day was seen grabbing a BBC cameraman and throwing him to the ground, doesn't bode well for him. He was clearly out of line.

That is my opinion from the video. Why would the guy walk in slow motion otherwise?

tired/drunk/on drugs/confused/lost/

pick one. none deserve being assaulted for , even if he was just being stubborn because he has a dislike for the police then he still wasn't doing anything that was worth assaulting for.

as von said (who i believe has worked in riot situations before) they could easily of escorted him away peacefully if he was really causing a problem.

Does anyone else think it would be incredibly interesting to see in these kinds of stories what the effect on the public reaction would be if you changed the victim.

Ie;

black man
white woman
young attractive woman
old ugly woman
big muscley bloke
Muslim guy
old ww2 war veteran
chav
rapist
convicted paedophile

etc.

if he gets convicted hes going to have a fun time in prison!

should make him show some remorse for the fact he acted like a thug, im sure many others in the met TSG and similar "riot squads" will now hopefully think twice before beating civilians and acting outside use of force law
