Don't the car dealers all have "hail" sales afterwards where you can buy a car all dented up for a fraction of it's cost?

It probably depends if they are insured. I presume some get auctioned by insurance companies and others just sold reduced by dealers.

Yep they do. There are loads of hits on google if you search. Brand new cars 50% off.

I thought the same as you but if you live in a hailstone area you may as well buy a new car with 50% off as everybody elses car will soon look like yours anyway! lol
