is the 5870 still a decent card

Is it worth upgrading with a second 5870? I've no idea how crossfire is but considering the card is only £150 its crossed my mind that it might be better value getting a second one of them rather than £300+ on a new card.
 
I've had my 5870 since Sept 09 when they first came out. I was one of the lucky ones to get one before there was a shortage just after the release.

I've asked on here about different cards that I was thinking of upgrading to and 99% of replies were to keep it until the new gen cards come out or get another and xfire them.
 
I think it will easily run BF3 on max settings, I highly doubt that it will be too high standards, don't forget that this is an online game for the masses if it dosen't run on the majority of the cards it won't be very successfull. I'm thinking at least 60+fps on cards like the 470/5870 and higher cards we will be looking at 120fps+ (570/580/6970,etc)

To be honest, graphic performance wise on a single GPU hasn't really much forward much since 5870/GTX480, since the 32nm process got skipped, and we are still stucked on the now grandpa 40nm process. It is one reason why so many of us so looking forward to the released of the 28nm process cards.

If we are lucky, we might see performance gain similiar to what happen when GeForce 8800 series first released back then ;)
