2 years later we got 4g then most probably 5g will be in america and we will be behind again, oh dont you love this country.

They don't technically have 4G over there, it's more marketing than anything. Very few Americans have coverage like we do and most never saw HSDPA etc... it was a larger jump from mostly sub 3G speeds to this "4G" which averages speeds which we get through HSDPA anyway. Trust me, coverage over there is not so fun.

We got 3G about 5 years before America. Apple thought that it was acceptable to release the first iPhone without 3G because so little of America would be able to get a 3G signal.

We're only behind on LTE because there's no spectrum available for it. Remember that this is a European standard that everyone is now using.
