Ready to buy OC Bundle....

Hi,

I'd ready to place the order for an over clocked bundle but ideally would like the "Krypton Ankylosaur MKII" with at least 8GB of RAM. Would this affect the overclock and could OCers supply this preclocked and preconfigured?

No it wont affect the clock as there only using 2 sticks to make up 8Gb. Problems only really arise when 4 sticks are used.

Yes, they will apply the settings in the BIOS and save a profile too in the BIOS.

EDIT: What do you intend on using the rig for - as a 2500K system may suit your needs and be considerably cheaper.

Unless you encode a lot of video's or video editing and stuff like that then there is no
real reason for an i7 processor, the i5 2500k is pretty much just as good as the i7 only
difference is the i7 has hyper-threading and the i5 don't, i5 will clock just as nice as the
i7 as well but at a much much cheaper price, and if your a gamer with the money you would
save you could get yourself a really nice graphics card.

I'm looking really to purchase the best I can get really hence why I considered going for the i7. Budget wise, I'm probably looking about £1500 as I'm looking to get either a 6990 or GTX580 graphics card (still to decide on this also).

I want this to last me at least 3 years - hence why I'm throwing money at this now.

I am a gamer but also want to have the capacity for VMware instances - hence the additional RAM.

the good thing about there bundles is the support you get and my bundle is rock soild at 4.20 gig . i got the krypton extreme bundle...

as far as there bundle are concerned they no wot they are doing...
