lg optimus x2 or Samsung GS2?

I am abou to get a new phone and was just looking for some personal feedback from the ocuk forum on each of these phones. I want the Samsung but can get a better deal on the lg.

Any feedback would be great! :confused:

Sounds like if your willing to flash a custom rom the LG is fantastic value for money (well its good value even if you don't tbh).

You will get a better deal on the LG because its an inferior phone, the Galaxy S II is considerably better. That is the one to get.

I have them both - there's not one thing the LG does better than the SGS2. SGS2 is the superior phone in every way. The LG is still a very good smartphone nonetheless

If you're willing to install a custom ROM then the LG is worth a look if it's a lot cheaper.

Have a look at the XDA forums, or even better the Modaco forum for the LG for a less biased opinion than here. Everyone here is an SGS2 fanboy at the moment.

Not really, it is the clear cut best phone out, therefore (sensible) people will buy it and recommend it. That doesn't make you a fanboy

It's the best phone out there, but bang for buck I'm not so sure after reading Modaco. The x2 can be got for a very good price now.

Give it a few weeks, I need more people to break theirs so I can bag a refurb. I thought these SGS2's were supposed to be flimsy, I should have one by now!

I had a Optimus 2X and sold it was a bad buy for me, terrible camera and video it was a nice snappy phone as you would expect, one big let down was only 512meg of ram.

I sold it at a loss on ebay as the prices crashed and got a GS2 and its superior in every way and there is nothing wrong with the build quality I don't get this constant build quality thing the phone is sturdy as any phone I have ever owned.
