***Unofficial OcUK Minecraft Server***

ok it appears that one of the addons I use lets players with know-how to have infinite of any resources, so I'm going to spend some time sorting out permissions and blacklisting certain abilities :p Please dont abuse it in the mean time
 
Ladies and gentlemen! To tide us over until a bukkit version comes out for the new patches... I have created a whole new world!
This world is NOT mandatory, and a portal can be found for it in the portal room :) Feel free to go nuts!
 
The time has come people. Theres a new recommended bukkit build which works with 1.6.6. Going to install it now.
 
Is this easy enough to play? I've watched quite a lot of Mack & Mesh minecraft videos and thinking of buying it on the weekend and giving it ago :)
 
Could i be whitelisted please.

Jamesdl is my minecraft name.

I cant seem to get that minimap to work tho once i put the files in, it just crashes my game and fails to load.

It is pretty hard to learn, but it's like learning to ride a bike, it's hard when you start but once you've learned it's become easy. And besides, I'm sure anyone on either servers is willing to help you.
 
Oops sorry chaps didnt see your messages lol. Yeah added you both to whitelist now. I think the minimap may be out of date with the new patch. Its def stopped working for me, along with my texture pack. Going to do some digging around on the forums to fix it :)

There are a couple of recommended youtube vids that bring you through the basics. You really really do need to know the basics of crafting, but once you do it all comes together pretty quickly.

As for this, yeah give me a couple of mins warning and I will join you in game, show you around and show you how to get started. I've helped 3 or 4 people who joined the server never having played the game before and its very satisfying.
 
Best thing is to look here:

It gives every crafting recipe in the game. Most need a 3x3 crafting grid and you start off with a 2x2 grid in your inventory. Break some trees to get wood to turn into planks to turn into a crafting table and you're set :p
