Mx5 has gone, and here is my new car...

Cool purchase

How does it compare to the Mx5?

Bit early to say really, but so far I am enjoying it! The engine with the handling of it goes really well, just have to remember to really keep those revs high.

loltim, Yeah the PE2's are on the rear, when the front have worn down they will also be changed to PE2's. Do I dare ask how much JDM manifold's go for? :p

Leon, I am sure you will see it soon enough!

Dan, I must admit that is a sexy looking car! Call me odd, but whilst I'm sure the MX5 was good on paper it certainly didn't have the 'wow' that does. I look forward to checking it out sometime soon! :) PS. A drive please? (I'll be around your area sometime mid June).

£200-250 usually but it's a very worthwhile mod.

Bloody hell, 12 year old car fetches £4k! Still? £4k can get you a Golf half is age!

These thing hold their value well.

I love the Mx-5 and whilst I've not yet driven one for a long period of time I think what lets the '5 down is the lack of grunt, although some say that's not what the '5 is 'about' so who knows?

That's because it's a very decent car (albeit with a little scene-tax) and to most people who enjoy it for what it is, it's worth £4k. :)

Great! Chav it up already.

/rolleyes!

I think these are great and if I needed something only slightly more practical than my 5 I would definitely consider them. How much did it cost you to change? Not tempted to keep the 5 and SC/turbo it or was practicality the major issue?

Just give me a bell when your about, we can sort out meeting up.

Tim, will bare those bits in mind, for now I'm going to have fun with it stock. It at least has an alright howl at the moment with me taking the resonator off.
